Locations near Temple and Waco will receive between 1 and 2 inches of rainfall from heavier storms... while other locations will only see light rain amounts through 8 PM. Rainfall is expected to increase north of Interstate 20 tonight as an upper low approaches.

The Flash Flood Watch is extended to 7 am Wednesday and is now in
effect for

* the following counties. In north central Texas... Bell...
Collin... Cooke... Dallas... Denton... Ellis... Falls... Fannin...
Freestone... Grayson... hill... Hunt... Jack... Johnson... Kaufman...
Limestone... McLennan... Montague... Navarro... Rockwall...
Tarrant... wise and Young. In northeast Texas... Anderson...
Delta... Henderson... Hopkins... Lamar... Leon... rains and Van
Zandt. In south central Texas... Milam and Robertson.

* Through Wednesday morning

* upper low will sit near Red River through Wednesday morning and
should continue to produce widespread rainfall with multiple
areas of heavy rain. The ground is saturated across the area and
any new rain will run off quickly.

* Flooding of low lying areas... creeks... ditches... and secondary
roads is likely.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy
rain... which may lead to flash flooding. You should monitor the
latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and be
prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued for
your area.
