regional weather discussion... Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to develop across central and southern Oklahoma and portions of western North Texas. Through 4 PM... the showers and thunderstorms will move north and northwest... affecting areas east of a Stillwater... to Watonga... to Hobart... to Vernon and Seymour Texas line. The strongest activity will move across areas from Ada and Coalgate south to Atoka... to Durant... to Lake Texoma and Marietta. Rainfall amounts of between a tenth and a quarter of an inch per hour will be likely with isolated amounts of over half an inch possible with the stronger storms. The showers and thunderstorms are in association with an upper level low moving slowly eastward across North Texas. The best chances for rain into the early part of the late afternoon hours will remain across central and southern Oklahoma and parts of western North Texas as the low over northern Texas moving very little.
