Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue over western and west central Arkansas through 5 PM. The area of precipitation is moving to the north at 20 mph with additional showers and thunderstorms possible through the day. Rain fall will average a tenth of an inch through 5 PM with as much as a half inch in locally heavy downpours. Minor street flooding or ponding of water in low lying areas will be possible.

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Arkansas... eastern Arkansas... southeast Arkansas... southwest Arkansas and western Arkansas... including the following areas... in central Arkansas... Garland... Grant... Lonoke... Perry... prairie... Pulaski... Saline and Yell. In eastern Arkansas... Monroe. In southeast Arkansas... Arkansas... Bradley... Cleveland... Desha... Drew... Jefferson and Lincoln. In southwest Arkansas... Calhoun... Clark... Dallas... Hot Spring... Ouachita and Pike. In western Arkansas... Logan... Montgomery... Polk and Scott.
* Through Thursday morning.
* Showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to move through Arkansas due to a stalled area of low pressure located over North Texas and southern Oklahoma. With the ground already saturated from previous rainfall... additional rainfall could lead to flash flooding.
* An additional one to one and a half inches of rainfall is expected over parts of central and south Arkansas through Thursday morning. Flash flooding will be possible where this amount of rain falls on already saturated ground.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
